Net Folders

I am using the Net Folders feature to share 2 calendars
in Outlook 2000 and I run into several problems
1. At times there are quite a few duplicated updates sent,
ie - On one day the same appointment appears 35 times

2. Some times an appointment is not sent.

I have done all the troubleshooting I can, and have
researched the web, there isn't that much info about net
folders to be found on the web. I was wondering if anyone
has any additional knowledge of Net Folders, and what
might be causing these duplicates and appoinmtents to not
be sent.

We've tried using net folders and have encountered similar
problems. We don't know why the quirks happen but we
usually opt to reinstall it (we've tried troubleshooting
without re-installing and it didn't work):

1. Unshare the folder(s)
2. restart your computer & run outlook again.
3. un-install net folders component
4. restart again and run outlook (without net folders)
5. re-install net folders
6. then re-share your folders

I have had the same problem with appointments duplicating
in other members net folders. Please let me know if this

I work at an accounting firm with 5 users on Outlook
2000. We have stuck with net folders for over 4 years now
effeciently. We all use Net Folders to share contacts,
calendars, and tasks. We incur problems very rarely, but
when they do happen they're tragic!
A solution to your problems would not only to be to STOP
sharing the calendar, contact, etc... but to do a NFClean
function.
Go to Start, Find, look for NFClean.
Double click, it only takes about a second, maybe two at
most.Then re-share everything.
Sometimes that stop sharing feature just doesn't do it.

To let you know, I have removed the Net Folders feature
from Outlook to share the calendar. Once I would fix one
probelm, another would come up. I used a free online
calendar (Yahoo!) that synchronizes with Outlook, so now
the calendar can be viewed online as well. Net Folders was
causing too much of a headache, and this was a simple,
relible solution to the buggy net folders.
