.NET integration

Anybody know if MS plans on integrating .NET more with Office 2004 and
future versions like with Office 2003? I like it when I launch Outlook
2003 I'm automatically signed into .NET without having to launch MSN
Messenger--wish the same was with the Mac.

Hi Eric,

Microsoft has not announced any such plans.

But don't be discouraged. Please take a moment to send your suggestion to
Microsoft (they don't necessarily read anything posted to public
newsgroups). The place to send the suggestion is the feedback option from
the Help menu.

Suggestions sent in using this method are tracked. Popular ones often find
their way into products.

Hi Jim,

Well, I'll use the feedback selection for both MSN Messenger and
Entourage 2004; I know that with the MSN Browser application there is a
partial implementation of this in that you can see when buddies are
online but Messenger hasn't actually been launched--it only gets
launched when trying to send an IM.

Hi Eric,

Have you noticed that Entourage 2004 is aware of your MSN contacts? You'll
see the MSN icon next to their names in the address book when they are on
line.

In Word 2004 you can send documents via MSN using the Reviewing toolbar
(View > Toolbars > Reviewing).

There's more information available in the Project Gallery. Click the Learn
tab and then in the left side click "What's New" then choose the MSN
document to open.

Hi Jim,

I'll look into that; sadly, most of the people I know that use MSN are
my personal contacts and everybody at work uses AIM--go figure! But it
makes accessing the MSN site easier. Thanks!
