Network Connection interfers with InfoPath

I have an odd problem. To get any InfoPath control to appear on the
form takes a minute or 2 when dragging and dropping or simply clicking
on the control. However, if I disable my network connection it
appears immediately. It's like there is an interference between the
network connection and InfoPath and something hangs until a timeout of
some sort.

Can anyone help?

It sounds more like a problem with your network connections than InfoPath.
You might want to run some antivirus software and some spyware removal app.
It sounds like there's a chance there might be a worm running and sucking up
all your resources.
