Network Drawing - multiple drawings to update

C

Christine

I have several network drawings that I need to update if I add or remove a switch. I have one for the closet it is in, one for the building, and one for the logical drawing. So, if I add a new switch, I have to add that switch on the 3 different drawings.

Is there an easier way to do this? Is there a way that I update the closet diagram, and the building and logical diagrams get updated automatically?

Thanks,

I do not believe there is a way to do this with your current setup.

On a small scale, this is what I have done...

I have a building, that I create a building diagram to make the separate
rooms and the
server/cabling room. On page one of the doc, I put a hyperlink in the
server room that
directs to the diagram on page two of the doc. My logical diagram is on
page three
and a buddy of mine wrote some VB code to change some connections to
equiptment
on page three. I just keep all of the stencils, doc's and other objects in
one folder on
my machine to keep it organized.

Granted, this may or may not help you, or be what you are looking for, but I
set mine
network up this way so that if I want to see any individual room, I can
click on the link
and go straight to that page.

My ultimate goal is to have one doc with multiple pages, using some VB code,
to change
properties of some of the cable runs. This has evaded me so far...
