Network Password Request

I am using Vista with Outlook 2007 and when I am connected to the net via 56K
modem when Outlook is active, I get continous requests for my Network (ISP)
log in and password. Do any of you know why this is happening and what I
need to do to to stop it. Oddly, whatever I am logged into now is keeping
this from happening. It also does not occur if I get my mail using Windows
Mail, only when Outlook is active, but in all forms of activity, Word, gmail,
blog site comments, etc. I often can not type more than 5-10 keystrokes
between demands.

I look forward to the wisdom of the list.
