Network problem

Hello,

I split a db into a front end and back end, the back end
is on a network in a dir that has
read/write/change/add/delete rights , but when I tried to
make the front end and link the tables that were on the
network, it created a record locking information file on
the network and no i can never open the front end because
it says file is in use, and i cannot delete either of the
files on the network for the same reason. Whats wrong?
