I have Access on an XP peer to peer network, and up to two days ago I and my
colleague were able to open databases on each other's computer. Suddenly I am
unable to open databases on his computer.
When I open a front end form on my desktop linked to a back end on the other
computer I get a message that it may be in use or I may not have permission.
When I try to open the same database through Explorer nothing happens with
both front and back end.
Opening databases in other folders I get a message saying that it is located
outside my intranet or on an untrusted site. The problem is specific to
Access as I can open other programs such as Word or Excel through the
network, but no Access database.
I wonder whether I could solve the problem through the 'user and group
permissions' but I do not understand how to set them.
Any advice gratefully received.
