network security - am I understanding this correctly?

I've figured out my past security issues and now want to load this on the
network so that others can reach it. They will enter through a switchboard.
Is it correct that the security mdw on their individual laptops will
automatically view them as Admin, so that they will only have the rights that
I have assigned Admin (which is read only). I will send the users a link to
the db, but am concerned that in doing this, it is the security mdw that
recognizes me as Superuser, member of Admins group.

Thanks!

It depends. If you have assigned permissions to the 'Admin' user or the
'Users' group, then anyone with Access (doesn't matter what mdw) will be
able to use the mdb to the extent that those permissions allow. You refer
to 'the security mdw on their individual laptops' - I'm not certain what you
mean by that - a secure mdw or the standard system.mdw that ships with
Access? If the system.mdw, then they will be limited by the permissions
you've assigned the Users Group and/or the Admin user.

The best way to test this, is to umm test it. Copy the mdb to another
computer, and go there and open it. See if it operates the way you want.
