Network View

Hello All

I've been working more and more with the network view assembling logical
views for teams to review. It's been quite an important exercise for the
teams in revalidating the approach (as you can appreciate).

I'd like to change the colour of the network node automatically e.g. if it's
the Engineering Team then the node is Green or Purple for Construction Team,
Brown for External Testing etc... I'd like to have a better visualisation of
which organisation is involved across the network. Is this possible? I know
this can be achieved manually for each node but that could be very time
consuming.

Would appreciate any thoughts or comments.

Thanks to all who take the time to respond.

Hello Hardip,

The network diagram view, like the calendar view, has very limited
automatic formatting choices. If you look at Format > Box Styles,
you'll see the available Box styles are limited to critical,
noncritical, milestone, summary, inserted, and marked tasks. By
manually marking tasks and then using a highlight filter, you could
achieve two separate colors, but I don't believe you get more than
two automatically.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

The network view in Project is "what you see is what you get". There
are some relatively inexpensive 3rd party tools available which provide
more formatting capablity for the Network chart. Google will find them.
