Networked Drive Notebook?

Can Onenote be set to open a notebook on a networked drive, that is "Shared"
by another computer.
For example.
My tablet stores my notebook, and is how I get around with using onenote.
I come home, or go to my office machine, already on the wireless, and
sharing my notebook on the network.
I connect the network drive (now lets say, drive E:) can I open onenote in
that "Shared" notebook.
I know i wont see things cange in real time, but would the notebook appear
intact?
Theoretically being able to use my notebook on my office computer with my
tablet tucked away.

And I should still be able to see the ink one the desktop, that isn't a
tablet pc...

If you set the path on the desktop machine to the shared drive (using
Tools | Options | Open and Save | My Notebook) then the default "My
Notebook" of both machines will contain the same data.

The Ink from pages created on the Tablet will also appear when viewed on
the desktop.

Yes, you can do this. But the machine pointing to the share will not be able
to see anything if the share is not available.

A better way would be to make that share available offline - that lets
Windows keep the files in sync for you. You can read about it in detail
including steps on how to set it up here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831596. Keep in mind that this link
provides the most secure steps to avoid any trouble. Most of the time
everything works fine without being religious about closing and manually
syncing. Best to follow the steps in the link though if you plan to do this
a lot.

or, you could just share a section or a folder - use File/Open Folder or
Section to open a shared folder or a section on the other machine - that
section will appear with a shortcut icon.
