new 2002 version security, blocked files from opening

2002 version says my own files aren't trusted and the
security stops any file from opening unless I do a new
database from scratch. Nothing in the help files re
establishing trusted sites has helped? Anyone know the
fix on this? I'd emailed these files back and forth to
myself from school, but they are on my C drive. The
messages say: Microsoft Access This file is located
outside your intranet or on an untrusted site. Microsoft
Access will not open the file due to potential security
problems. To open the file, copy to your machine or an
accessible network location. I must not be copying or
doing this suggestion correctly either. as nothing is
working. I take it, this newer version of Access can
tell I emailed the files?

Hi, Beth.

Does your database have linked tables or use SQL, VBA code or a macro that
refers to external files? Perhaps this Knowledge Base article will shed
