New Appointment Default Type

Used Outlook for many years. Now on 2003 as part of SBS set-up. Previously, when I did Ctrl N (or double-clicked on the calendar) I'd get a new appointment dialogue screen. With 2003, the default format is for an all-day event. I have to untick the all-day event box, and manually set the start and end times. How can I get the default new appointment to be an appointment again?
