quickicons is compatible with outlook 2007 - it adds buttons to quick
launch, then you can pin them to start or taskbar just as you would any
other item. All it does is make the shortcuts for you using this command
line - "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c
IPM.APPOINTMENT - you could easily do it yourself. The pinned items are
just shortcuts in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned. The quick launch icons are in that
path, just move them from quick launch folder to the pinned start menu or
taskbar folders.

I'd like to have a shortcut in my system tray or sidebar in Win 7so I
can
create a new appointment with out having to open outlook 2007. Is this
possible?
Thanks
Charles
Hi Diane, I have Outlook pinned to the start menu and task bar, but right
clicking doesn't give this option, tried quickicons, doesn't seem to be
compatible with either win 7 or outlook 2007.
Any other options?
