new blank document in word 2004 is not actually blank

i just installed office 2004 after running through my mac test drive
trial time, and every time i try to open a new, blank document, the
very first paper i wrote in word comes up. how do i make an actual
blank document open and stop this paper from popping up? thanks!

Did you *fully* remove the Test Drive using the Remove Office utility before
installing the full version? This is an absolute *must* - if any portion of
the Test Dive remains there will be any number of problems. None of them
will be resolved until the Test Drive is properly removed. See the removal
instructions at the bottom of the following page:

If that is what you've already done, then you have somehow managed to save
to your Normal template. Follow the instructions for replacing it here:
