New Blank Document

When I start up Microsoft Word an old document always comes up. How do I get
rid of it for good so that it will be a new blank document each time I go
into Microsoft Word?

After I brought up the normal files (there were 5) I just right clicked on
them and instead of clicking open I just deleted them. It worked. Thank you
