new comp

I was wondering about reinstalling my office xp students
and teachers onto a brand new computer. I had a dell laptop
and had to replace it with a new desktop. Am I going to
have problems with reinstalling? Is there serial number
that I already registered in the old comp going to restrict
me from installing it on my new one? How could I make this
work?

When you install and it asks to activate, use the telephone method.
