New Computer; need old Outlook files

Lili

Hello there.. I had so many problems with my old computer that I finally
bought, and just received, my new one.

I installed Outlook 2000 on my new computer and since I hadn't backed up my
pst file in awhile, was hoping that I could access/run the Outlook executable
from my old hard drive, launch the program with old e-mail etc. and whala..
then make pst file which I would import to my new computer.

Alas, when I run Outlook, regardless of which drive I launch the program
from, it launches the new one, doesn't recognize the "old" outlook. Is there
information from my old hard drive that I can access/copy to my new 'puter
that will automatically pull up my old outlook? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!

Lil

Der Lili,

search on the your old hard disk for *.PST files. Outlook save all
information like emails, contacts etc in PST files.

After you know the path of the PST you could open it in Outlook under
File/open/Personal Folders(.pst).

You can also move the PST files from the old Hard Disk to the new one.

A complete descrition is on this site:
