New computer need to move bought license

I bought a new laptop with Vista. I have Microsoft Office Student and Teacher
edition 2003 with a 3 user license. I have all 3 in use but would like to
remove one of them from the cpu we are going to get rid of. That system is
XP. (don't know if makes a differnce)
What I need to know is how to uninstall to get that 3rd user license back to
put on our new laptop? Does the disk I bought have to be in during the
uninstall process, so the disk knows that I still have a user left to use on
the new laptop system?

Uninstall Office from one of your systems. Install it on the new one. Use
telephone activation if necessary.
