New computer office options

Hello:I have just purchased a new mac and I am keeping my old one. I
have office X and Virtual PC 6 installed both through upgrade. Can I
leave these on my old machine and still qualify for upgrade pricing on
the new office Pro version for my new computer? If that is not
possible, can I remove these upgrade versions from my old computer and
install on the new computer? Thanks for the help.

You can certainly remove Office from your old computer and install
it on your new one.

For the other, technically, it's certainly feasible to install a new
upgrade version - all you'd need is your XL98 or XL01 CD to confirm
that you own a prior version. As far as the EULA is concerned, I
don't know if that's "legal" - it might be considered an improper
splitting of your original license. You may want to review the EULA
to make sure. AFAIK, there's no way to tell what license your
upgrade was based on.
