New custom field "Budget Type" not saving to database

I created a new custom field called "Budget Type" at the Resource
Level (uses lookup table). Also created custom MSP2007 client table/
view (copied from existing enterprise table/view) which includes the
new enterprise field "Budget Type" alongside each item in the resource
sheet. The view filters for Cost resources only.

Once copied to enterprise global, the view looks great and no
corruption. I invoke the view and select a Budget Type for each
Cost Resource. Then, when I save the data, all the values selected
in the Budget Type field are gone.

What can I do to ensure that the data "sticks"?

Thanks,

There is an issue with Custom fields in Project Professional 2007.
The data for custom fields is cached locally and the cache can get out of
synch with the server. To fix it, delete your cache. From the tools menu
find the cache settings command, locate the cache. Then close project pro
and delete the entire cache folder. When you have done this restart project
pro.
