New Customer: Office XP to Office 2003

R

Randy Breese

I have the following dilemma...

We had planned to switch from WordPerfect Office
Professional to MS Office 2003 Professional in July.

The release date has been pushed back, I know.

Now, my boss comes to me and says we have money left at
the end of our current fiscal year -- today. He would
like me to go ahead and do this today.

If I get Office XP Professional today, will we get any
kind of break on 2003 upgrade when it comes out?

Hi Randy,

If you're part of the MS Volume licensing program
then one of the features available is a technology
guarantee (software assurance)
http://microsoft.com/licensing

For retail customer's MS has not yet announced the
start of any Technology Guarantee period (i.e. buy
Office XP and get a no/reduced cost upgrade to Office 2003).
