Those of us who attended the Launch 2007 show in Boston a few days ago were
told we were entitled to a free copy of Office 2007 and Groove.
If I go to the website www.launchtour2007/download and try to do a download,
there are 2 download links.... #2 is for CD #2 #1 is for CD #1 i presume.

However #1 does not work, it downloads an unexecutable file.
Does anyone know what the problem is here? Download #2 is an executable, but
prompts me for CD #1 before it will install.

And is this version any differnet from the Free Trial download I've been
using since mid last december?

Thanks...

The download seems to be disk 2 Office accounting.

Even at the Main Free Trial site Pro is unavailable.

Hurry up and wait................

Wierd. I'm to lazy to go look so what is the extension? If its
giving you an image (no, not a picture) I think you have to burn it to
a cd or something. Google the extension...

Good luck.

This is crazy!! I just attended the lauch event in Atlanta yesterday
and I'm having the same problem -- of course, there ISN'T a tech
support number and I don't want the trial version on my computer,
because it doesn't have all of what is included in Professional. Now
because I uninstalled the 2007 trial my computer keeps asking me for
some disk for some file that the uninstall removed! Anyone had any
luck?? :crybaby:

I had no problems downloading but I did it that evening after attending the
event. Just so you know you still are downloading the trial copy but instead
using the trial registration number you use the registration number that
comes with the Launch 2007 resource kit.

The Office 2007 Trial editions are the complete retail products, there aren't any parts 'not included'.

The launch event provides you with a product key that changes it from a 60 day trial to a release product.

I attended a new day launch on Feb 1 in Pittsburgh. My problem is that when ever I link to below:

http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/product.aspx?sku=3082915&culture=en-US

and click on "Try now for Free"

it resolves as:

https://us1.trymicrosoftoffice.com/error500.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/trialinfo.aspx

with error message: "Sorry this site is temporarily unavailable."

It has been this way since the launch event on February 1, 2007.

Any Help??

Thanks.

Try going to the URL the Launch Resource Kit suggests:

http:// www . launchtour2007 . com / download

(spaces added to defeat the filter -- take 'em out again).

And if you can figure out which of these two or three .exe files
holds the first "install . exe", let us all know, please.
