NEW DOCUMENT TYPING STARTS AT 5.5 INCHES FROM TOP

We have a user that when she creates a new document, the cursors starts at
5.5" from top. I checked all page margins, nothing unusual. Also "viewed"
header and footer still the same, nothing unusual on the settings.

could the normal.dot be corrupted?

when she opens a previously saved document, it opens normally.

when she opens a previously saved document, it opens normally.

In File > Page Setup > Layout, set the Vertical Alignment to "Top" and
then click the Default button at the bottom of the dialog.
