Hi,
I have configured outlook to download all emails to a local data file
(Official.pst). I have also set up rules here (after arrival) to move some
emails to another data file (Personal.pst). So it looks something like this-

All Mail Items========
Whenever I get a new email which end up in Official folder (those which do
not pass the rules), I see the alerts (desktop alert and new mail icon). But
whenever I receive an email that goes to Personal folder (those which are
moved to Personal folder by the rules), I do not see any alerts.
New email alerts are set under options.
I think the issues is that if new emails are processed and moved to new data
file by the rules, then email alerts are not shown.
Please let me know if there's a solution.
