Hi,
Pardon my repeat of earlier messages; but, I am still searching for a
solution.
Basically, after I restart Outlook 2007, I can see activity in the
notification area of the Outlook 2007 window about new mail being received,
and there is an icon in the Taskbar area of Vista (the Oulook icon changes to
something that I think looks like a clipboard with a piece of paper on it
(something to do with synchronizing?)); but, there is no envelope icon in the
Taskbar area of Vista indicating that new mail has been received, nor does
the message show up in the Inbox until I click on another folder (such as
Junk) and then go back to the Inbox.
I believe that I see this problem after I restart Vista.
I have tried sending test emails to myself. After leaving the Inbox and
returning and seeing new mail (and sometimes doing this several times), the
emails start being received correctly. I haven't done anything other than
leave the Inbox folder several times and return.
Does this have something to do with just giving Outlook some time to process
new emails after a restart?
I would really like to put this problem to bed so that I'm not concerned
about shutting down and restarting my system.
I have changed profiles and run the repair tool on several previous
instances... neither helped the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff
