Hey guys,

I just made the jump from iMail to Entourage 2008. I am linking E2008 with my personal email from GMAIL for the 1st time.

The setup was smooth but I am now receiving 15,000+ messages over the past 4-5 years.

How do I sync the program to start from a week ago, or today so I don't get all these messages?

Anyone know? Thank you very much!

Tommy

Tommy,

I could not tell on the reply from Diane what to do. I am in the same boat I started Entourage and it wants to download 1500 messages. How did you handle?

Thanks,

Will

Are you downloading a Gmail Account? If yes, then use your browser to access
your gmail account and move the older messages into an archive folder. If
it's another type of account, it's the same principal....use your web
browser to move mail out of the Inbox.

That's not what the question is, the question is how do you STOP entourage mid download in order to go do all that gmail stuff? The only way is to force quit the program. Outlook has a damn stop button.

Let me guess... are you the original OP, baker or are you the second person
that inserted the problem into this thread? Please start your own thread so
this type of confusion doesn't happen and use a name.

Did you try clicking on the Stop button in the Progress window?
