New Ethernet adapter led to Outlook 2000 locking up.

I recently added a Netgear FA511 Ethernet adapter to a
laptop with Windows 2000 Professional, puting it in a
different PCMCIA slot from the existing Xircom dual port
unit with a failed dongle. I disabled the Xircom.
Everything works fine, including the Cisco VPN, but
Outlook 2000 locks up every time, without getting to my
Email. I can receive responses via an alternate Email
address that I listed.
