I am trying to determine if the Office 2007 version of Business Contact
Manager addresses a few issues that made the old version of BCM a problem for
my small business. A new features list doesn't seem to be anywhere on technet
and the thought of suffering through the beta install of BCM just to find out
isn't all that pleasant of a way to spend a weekend.
So in particular I am wondering anyone knows if the Beta 2 version of BCM:
a) allows synchronization of roaming laptops with the central BCM database
on our Small Business Exchange Server?
b) allows synchronization to RIM Blackberries?
c) allows the recording of journal entries against a contact?
d) allows the creation of user-defined data fields?
As best as I can tell from all my messing around with the current release
version of BCM, these tasks can not be done now on the non-beta version. But
I am hoping that this new Beta 2 version of BCM 2007 will allow me to address
these issues. If not, does anyone know if this might be addressed in the
final version of 2007 BCM?
Regards
