New Font won't display

I installed a new true type font (Renaissance). The font
works fine in Powerpoint 2002. It does not work in Word
2002 (displays like New Times Roman). And, in Publisher
2002, message says "not available on your system". The
font is listed in the font drop down selection box in all
applications. Is this a filter issue or ??

I need to create labels in Word with this new font.

Can anyone offer me a solution or suggestion?

What view are you in when working in Word?
If you're not in Print Layout view or Print Preview then it's possible that you are seeing a 'draft' version of the font (normal
view).

I tried print layout view and preview - still no luck.
