Hi Roman,
There are two versions of the Hotfix. From the name of the file you mentioned you appear to be using the one for the German Edition
of Office 2003 rather than the one for the English language corporate edition with language packs. That one would be
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923884/en-us?FR=1
Office 2003 would have to be already updated to Service Pack 2 (you mentioned 'except service packs' in your prior message) to
install this hotfix and if it was deployed from a server rather than a standalone installation you may need to follow the setup
instructions in the PTK_readme.txt file. (Installing Office software also requires elevated or Admin privileges on the computer -
you didn't mention if your profile is at that level).

Hi Bob
I don't have a folder called Ohotfix in my profile. When I look up other
profiles there is a folder with that name in the Administrator profile. The
latest log file is dated of april 05 so it can't be up to date. I guess I
installed Office using this account. Since then I updated Office through
online Office Update on the internet except for service packs. In my temp
folder there are lots of log files. Which setup log file do you mean? Is
there a special name?
When I start "MSSP3GE.msp" "office2003-kb923348-deu.exe" I get a windows
Installer message saying "
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may
update a different version of the program. Verify tha the program to be
upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
According to the readme files included in "office2003-kb923348-deu.exe" I
just have to start "MSSP3GE.msp". How can I find the log file for that
attempt? When I use msiexec with log switches the installation won't start
just poping up a window with all available msiexec switches.
Since I use Internet Explorer for my postings I don't know how to attach zip
files.
Thanks
