new guy looing for downloads

hello all i am new to the newsgroups and its features.
i have been told that when it comes to downloads this is surely the best and
safestway to download and get tech support form fellow users on the
internet. as i strive to ensure that files and programs that i can share
are not only safe but complete. i am stil a neophite when it comes to
searching for what it is that i am searching for, as well as what area i am
searching for it in. now correct me if i am wrong but i was told this was a
glorified p2p network and if it isnt i am ok with that but if someone can
give me a few ideas and the detailed overview so to speak i would appreciate
it

Typically there are no downloads per se on this newsgroup, but if you have
questions about your Microsoft Access databases this is a good place. It's not
a chatroom, and it's not a general-purpose software forum, but if you are
working with Access the volunteers here will be glad to try to help.

You don't say what it is that you want to download so I'm not sure this is
where you want to look - good luck!
