New Hard Drive - No Workie Applications

J

jskov

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I had a hard drive crash, and had to replace it. I did have a very recent backup, and got everything buck up seamlessly... except for some microsoft applications.

It seems like my Word works ok, but my Excel does not. Excel keeps telling me that it is on Test Drive, while Word works just fine (and shows who it is registered to, etc.

The problem is that I cannot find my disks with the key now...

Any Help?

How did you bring the files back? Did you use migration?

You must remove the Office 2004 test drive before installing again. I'm
surprised that you are able to run both at the same time.

Without an install CD, I'm not sure how you can fix the problems you are
having. In order to get a replacement you would need proof of purchase and
it would cost at least $25 and no telling how much time.

If you don't need Exchange you can get Office 2008 very reasonably. $104.99
