New installation: Project Server 2003

Hi, would appreciate some help here:

I have installed PS2003 on SBS2003, set everything up as I believe that I
should, and have Project Web Access working from the workstation: the user
can log on.

We are trying to publish a project from Project 2003. When we create the
connector and test the connection (with the same details as used for the web
access above) Project says that it can't make the connection. We've tried
the suggestions that it makes but without success so far (except the one
called "Contact your administrator" since that is me and I don't have a clue
what is going on there...

Can anyone help?

Robin:

There are a number of things you need to do "special" when installing to
SBS. Keep in mind that Microsoft does not support Project Server installed
on Small Business Server. You must have the SBS Premium edition for this to
work.

Thanks for the link, Gary. I'll take a look.

It's frustrating because I have got so close (including using MSDE) - just
the final "oomph" to make it work. It's s shame that the system
requirements don't say "not on SBS" - unless I missed it but I read them
pretty closely.

Robin:

Unless an application specifically lists SBS as an acceptable platform, you
are best off to assume that it is not included. Of course that doesn't mean
it won't work, it just might not work the same way.
