New list template for all the Project sites

I have created a new list template in my PWA site definition. I need to apply
these template changes to all my project sites without recreating them, since
i have lots of data that is inputed for these projects.
Is there any posibility to apply the template changes to a site without
recreating the site. Please enlighten me soon.
