New mail doesn't appear until i click on the Inbox

I have just upgraded my PC from WIN2000 to WINXP. I use Office 2000.
New e-mails don't show up in my inbox until i click on the Inbox folder.
When i had WIN2000 i didn't have this problem.
We use exchange 5.5.

UDP packet blocking, perhaps? Google this group for the prior posts about
it.
