New mail to subfolders

I have Outlook Business 2003. If I create folder A under the Inbox, create
subfolder 1 under A, create rule to send new mail from 1 into subfolder 1,
collapse folder A. Mail from 1 arrives and is sent into subfolder 1; however,
folder A does not automatically expand to reveal new message in subfolder 1
from sender 1. How can I get folder A to automatically expand to reveal new
mail in subfolder 1?

My old computer did this, so I know it can or has been done in the past.
