We have a public folder in Exchange 2000 for contacts. We have set the
permissions on this folder so that anyone can add a new contact, users can
edit any contact they created, but only one user (out list admin) has full
permissions to all contacts.
We upgraded from OL2000 to OL2003.
Under OL2000, any user could change the view to 'By Category', select one or
more categories, hit 'New Message to Contact' and get a new message addressed
to each member of each selected category.
Under OL2003, all users except our list admin, get a 'do not have
permission' error when trying to send an e-mail by category.
Is this a bug or feature? Has this been fixed, or is there a way to work
around this problem without giving all users edit permission?
