New MS Word, Old MS Office 2000 install

I recently purchased a Dell PC with Microsoft Word
installed. I would like to install my old copy of MS
Office 2000 Small Business so that I can use Excel. Is
there a way to do this without ending up with the old
version of Word instead of my new one?

Yes, just put the CD in the drive and follow the prompts. When it comes to
choosing a type of install, choose Custom and in the list elect to not
install any Word components.
