New oddity: "Paste" function grayed out

Use rwith another oddity of a problem. With 2 presentations open,
copying a slide in sorter view with intent to paste it into other open
presentation. In the destination presentation, under Edit, the Paste
and Paste Special options are grayed out.

In looking into it briefly, I also noticed that wihtin the original
presentation, you cant copy paste within it - grayed out.

Any ideas? I love these head scratchers ;^)
