New Office Document (Office 2000)

I cannot open my NEW Office Document from the Start
button. I have tried repairing with the CD but still can't
I am running Windows XP and have just updated my Office
2000 Professional from the Microsoft site...but I had
this problem before I did. I can open all programs from
the Start\Programs lists and can open the Open Office
Document box.

Please help!
