New office questions

Michael Thomas

Hi!

I am considering upgrading to the new version of office from office X, and
have a few questions....

1. I currently have the student version of office X. Can I use this to get
the upgrade price on the professional version? (I want virtPC)

2. My work uses office 2003, and for some reason whenever I work with
tables in Word at home it does not translate well back to the PC
environment..formatting spacing etc. Is this still an issue?

Thanks for the advice

Yes. See http://www.microsoft.com/mac/howtobuy.aspx?pid=upgrade

It's hard to know what the problem is from the general description.
Tables in all versions tend to get corrupted when edited heavily. Often
converting Table to Text, then Text to Table fixes the problem.

I've sent documents with moderately complex tables back and forth to my
WinWord clients for years without incident that I can remember. I've
never seen a problem, including with Word 04.
