Bought a new computer and installed Office 2003 with Outlook. Then used
WindowsXP "utility" to get all the data from my old machine to my new one.
My email and other data came over to the new computer but I now have the
following messages when I launch Outlook:
" 'C:\Documents and settings\Sher Alex\Application
Data\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office11\ADDINS\OUTBAK.DLL' is not a valid Office Add-in. "
I click OK and then I get:
" 'C:\Documents and settings\Sher Alex\Application
Data\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office11\ADDINS\SBCMSYNC.DLL' is not a valid Office Add-in. "
I click OK. I can then function in Outlook -- execpt -- when I try to email
a file from Word or a page from Internet Explorer, I get:
"There is either no email client or the current email client cannot fulfill
the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the
default mail client."
I have gone to the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Other.
Under General, select the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail,
Contacts, and Calendar check box.
I have also gone to Tools menu, click Options, and then click Other, click
Advanced Options, click Add-In Manager, but I don't see the offending Add-ins
to remove them.
I believe brining the data from the old computer has created this
double-file path, but I don't know where it exsists and what to do to correct
it.
Thanks for your input!!!!!
