New page has no header

Hi All

Strange one this.

Every time Word 2003 starts up or the New doc button is clicked to start a
new one the cursor starts at the very top of the print layout. As if there
is no header whatsoever.

As soon as you click on Headers and Footers to show the header and then
mouse click below the default header, the cursor flashes in the usual, what
I would call, default place.

I thought this meant that the normal.doc (??) template was corrupt, as this
only happens on 3 x XP Pro machines in the school, but having re-done this
template as new one it still starts with the cursor at the very top of the
page.

Is there a setting somewhere in Word that I need to click so that this odd
behaviour is corrected?

I want to cursor to start at the usual default place of around an inch down
from the top.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Move your cursor to the very top edge of your document. When the cursor
changes - click.
