Hi all.
My workplace has just bought 2 new pc's. They paid for a copy of Office
Basic 2007 OEM for each machine. When they arrived, there was 2 empty boxes
with a product key inside each one. After browsing the internet for a while,
I found that MLK stands for `medialess licence kit' - no disks. The pc's do
not have office pre-installed. I even tried my (official & paid for) copy of
Office 2007 basic OEM in the machine with the supplied (not mine -the new
ones) product key. The software rejected this, saying that it was an invalid
key. I was trying to put the key in before installation starts. (a thought
has occured though. If the key is for a pre-installed version, will it work
if I install the software, then attempt to put the key in afterwards?) Upon
explaining the situation to the vendor, they have sent a cd to install the
software. Guess what, same error. Does anybody have any ideas?

Sorry, forgot to add, the pc's are running winXP. We have too many apps to
convert to vista at the moment.

yeah, that's the plan really. I just wanted to know if there was a
workaround to get office installed & working legally, with the software disc
we recieved.
Thanks.
