Can you make it where each time a slide comes up in a slide show it will
display a different picture from a group of 5 pictures or so? Making 5
different slides isn't an option in this situation. This is using PowerPoint
2003.
I think you can do this if you are willing to click a button to leave the
slide. It would be done with a complex set of trigger animations. First, put
your five pictures on the slide. Next, put five buttons on the slide. The
buttons should all look exactly the same. All the buttons should be set to
hyperlink to the next slide (or wherever you want to go from this slide).
Next, each slide needs an entrance animation (it probably should be just a
straightforward appear animation) that is triggered by one of the buttons.
In addition each button needs an appear animation that is triggered by one
of the previous buttons. If all the pictures are right on top of each other
and in the right order (and the same for the buttons, you won't need any
exit animations (which would complicate this a bit more).
Picture 1 and button 1 actually don't need any animations of their own.
Picture 2 and button 2 have entrance animations that are triggered by a
click on button 1.
Picture 3 and button 3 have entrance animations that are triggered by a
click on button 2.
etc.
If Picture 5 is on top of Picture 4 which is on top of Picture 3 which is on
top of ... (and the same for button 5 on top of button 4 ...), then this
should work.
Now, if you want to rotate the pictures so you can go to the slide as many
times as you like, you'll need exit animations, but I'll leave that as an
exercise for the reader.
