New PPT Viewer?!?!

Problems with AutoRun creation are really getting
frustrating. I just learned today that many of the
custom animation features don't work with the 97
viewer...bummer.

Any word on when a new one is going to be released? I
know how to turn off the new features but the
presentation suffers.
