New Printer--Now can't print word

Microsoft Office 2001 for mac is loaded on Mac 9.2. I work in X. I
had to buy new printer--Epson 2400. It does not recognize Mac 9 and
vise versa. How do I get 2001 updated so it will work on Mac X? Do I
have to buy office X or can I update to it. Thanks delish

Hi delish:

You need to buy one. I would suggest that you wait for Office 12 (which is
about 8 months away) if you can.

Otherwise, buy Office 2004.

Regardless of any plans to update to a newer version of Office you should be
able to use the R2400 (nice choice, BTW) if you have OS X set up with
Classic active. If your system is set up to boot in OS 9 separately from OS
X (Dual-Boot), the printer won't be available when running OS 9.
