New Problems with Database Corruption

I understand that the latest patch has "issues."

Do these new problems include widespread database corruption? My database has bit the dust 7 times in the past couple of weeks. I restore it using Time Machine (the Office tool is useless and just sits there), only to have it collapse again the next day. I'd love to know that this is being looked at.

Not that I know of. I sure don't experience this at least.

Did you try a database rebuild?? (launch Entourage pressing the option key
down)

That's because you shouldn't use Time Machine to backup your Identity. I
suggest you export your data and create a new Identity. This should clear up
any corruption.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

As a general rule you should shut down all Office programs (including Office
Notifications) before any Entourage backups. For this reason Time Machine is
not recommended to backup your database since it will be in use. If you want
to use Time Machine see these alternatives.

Entourage and Time-Machine-like backup (creates chronological backup of
Identity can be used by both Tiger and Leopard allowing you to roll back to
previous dated backups.

Alternative method to use Entourage and Time Machine (does a once a day or
whatever time period you select) This quits Entourage and the Microsoft
Database daemon allowing for once a day backup into Time Machine.
