New project not showing up in Project Center

S

Steve Remenap

I am sure this is simple - but i am at a loss.

I have PWA 2007 set up and integrated with SP
I have connected my local copy of project 2007 to PWA
I have created a new project, and published it to PWA
I can see the project in server settings/project workspaces
I have created a group with full control rights, and assigned it to this
workspace

I still for the life of me cannot get a project to show up in project
center, and it gives me this error

"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project."

Any ideas?

Hi Steve,

The Project Center view you created to view your projects, can you please
check if a categroy is assigned to this view. If so please check if your user
group has this category associated, that should ensure that you can see the
project in project center. In regards to security, user Groups will give a
user access to the features and categories allow users to view the content of
Project Server.

Steve:

It might be normal for your configuration, but without knowing what your
setup is, it's difficult to opine. "Normal" would be relative to the
horsepower of your system and its service load. If you told me that nobody
was using the system at the time, I'd be suspicious that there might be a
timing gap between the application server clock and the SQL Server clock or
some other funky abberation in the system. A lot more information is
required to properl this conversation much further.
