I have websites that I create and maintain using FP 2003.
Recently I had intermittent router connectivity problems so I bought a new
router. The old router had no publishing errors and life was good, except for
the dropped connections.
The new router -- an upgraded model to the old one -- was installed and
while the connectivity issues seems to have been solved, now when I try to
publish to my websites, I get the subject MS FrontPage 2003 error.
If I hook up the old router back again I can publish no problem -- same web
server, same PC, same modem, etc ...
I re-hookup the new router and the error is back. The router settings (MTU,
SPI Firewall, etc) on the new router is similar to the old router.
I called Netgear Technical Support and they are baffled. They have referred
this problem to a Level 2 tech support person. I am not sure that the problem
is funamentally theirs. This is a known FP error judging by the search engine
hits.
The files I am trying to upload are small -- under 50 kB each. One website
is about 120 MB and the other is small, about 25 MB.
Internet Options are default -- no proxy server defined.
If anyone here knows of a solution to this I would be grateful. Is there a
FP patch or something?
